By Order dated September 21, 2022, the Butte County Superior Court issued a final approval of a class action settlement by Neil Essila and Gregory Dobbs, former employees of Paradise Irrigation District, against Paradise Irrigation District and its Board of Directors. The Order specifically acknowledges “the exemplary results achieved and the quality of representation of Settlement Class Counsel.” This action involved complex issues of fiduciary liability relating to a public retirement plan and the assessment of improper fees to participants of the plan.
G&R filed the lawsuit on behalf of Plaintiffs and the putative class on August 31, 2017. Through several years of hard-fought litigation, G&R achieved class-action settlements for significant monetary and injunctive relief.
